This post was written a long time ago by me (@cfultz). Some of the info is outdated. Please, if you need help modding your device, contact me on here or Twitter.

I recently got back into modifying my mobile devices. This includes my PSP, iPhone, iPod, and soon my DSi. Now you aren’t supposed to modify “THEIR” device to make it do what you want but how is it “THEIR” device once you purchase it? Right? I mean, companies like Sony and Apple are always releasing firmware updates to fix exploits in the firmware to keep your device safe. While this may be the case sometimes, more than likely, they’re patching these flaws to prevent you from making your device work for you, not with you. Think about it this way, my old iPhone was at 3.1.2 firmware and was beat up beyond belief. I took it in the AT&T and they looked at it and laughed. It’s that bad. My old phone’s buttons wouldn’t work half the time and it drained the battery, until now. After “jailbreaking” it with blackra1n, I installed SBSettings from the jailbroken “App Store” Cydia. What this does is allows me to shutdown my device, restart, and most importantly lock my iPhone. On my 3GS, I installed SBSettings for the same reasons even though my buttons work! There’s many more things you can do like theme your phone so it’s unique with Winterboard, install id Software’s Wolf3D LEGALLY because it was released as source code and someone has compiled it and placed it on Cydia, and my personal favorite play NES and SNES games on your iPhone! For my PSP it’s the same way. I can run NES, GBA, SNES, PS1, N64 games and I can use Edison Carter’s Cheat Devices for GTA:LCS and GTA:VCS! It’s awesome! For any help doing this to your devices, leave a comment below and I’ll see what I can do!

It’s the microblog service that has basically taken over our everyday life. You’re probably here because you own a WordPress blog and want to know how to add @Anywhere to it (hover over the @Anywhere and watch what happens), and that’s what this how to is about!

Basically, what the new @Anywhere feature does is allows you to auto link to Twitter accounts and add hover cards simply by doing an @ whoever! Example time! @CFultz, @sckitkat09, @xLOLSTFUx, @markrar, @loldave… you get the idea! It will save you time in the long run and it’s a simple line of code that takes all of a minute to install into any theme! So let’s get down to business, shall we?

Before we can begin adding anything to our WordPress theme, you must register your blog as an application on Twitter by following this [link]. After you have signed in you are presented with this [page] where you setup the options you need for your specific setup.

Example Setup:

Application Name: Joe’s Blog
Application Website: hxxp://insertyouurlhere.com/
Organization: Joe’s Blog
Callback Url: hxxp://insertyoururlhere.com/
Default Access Type: Read and Write
Icon: (Not necessary but it is nice)
CAPTCHA

After that you will be presented with an example code and it should look something like this:

<script src=”http://platform.twitter.com/anywhere.js?id=THISISWHEREYOURAPIKEYWILLBE&amp;v=1″>
</script>
<script type=”text/javascript”>
twttr.anywhere(function(twitter) {
twitter.hovercards();
});
</script>

Copy that and login to your WordPress blog ex. hxxp://yourblog.com/wp-admin/, on the left side of the screen click Appearance, Editor and you’ll be presented with the code of your theme. Look to the right of the editor box and look for “header.php” and click it. Once there, look for the “</head>” tag and paste the code directly above it. Save the theme. Make a test post and put your Twitter name in it, preview it to see if your settings are working. If they are, you should see something like this…

If you see this then you have successfully followed my instructions and now have @Anywhere working on your blog! Tell me how I did and share your blogs in the comments below! Thank You!

NOTE: This ONLY works on themes that have been edited! So if you are running a mobile theme, you’ll have to edit that theme as well!

Here’s a post from my personal tumblr blog. Recently I had a problem with the new iPhone update and my Sony head unit recognizing it and it’s library. So I did what most tech savvy people do, wrote a how to on fixing the problem!

Here’s the full post from my Tumblr

This is a quick blurb to help out those of you that are having problems connecting your iPhone or iPod Touch to your Sony head unit with the USB on the front. My model for my unit number MEX-BT3700U and I have a 16 GB 3G(S). If you are having the major problem (or minor problems) that I did, my head unit would just say reading non-stop as if it couldn’t locate the iPhone’s music library. Here’s what you do…

Plug in your device to the head unit
Do a hard reboot (press and hold both the power and home button until the device shuts down)
Reboot the device by unplugging then plugging it back into the he’s unit
Select a source other than USB.
Once the device is completely booted, select the USb source and BOOM music!
If you need more help, contact me on Twitter @cfultz or on Facebook /cfultz

It seems the more America grows up, the more its citizens become more helpless, and work ethic becomes scarce. I have been working since I was fourteen years old, my first job being babysitting and from then carrying on to the food industry through McDonald’s and Quizno’s, and from there to convenience stores through Sheetz. It seems that this kind of thing just doesn’t happen very often anymore, Americans so willing to work. My parents encouraged me to get a job when I was young so I would be able to buy myself a car and start paying for my own expenses. I thought nothing of it, thought it was the complete norm. I am thankful that my parents stuck me in the work force so early, I truly know the value of a job and/or career. That is hardly what I can say for most of the country.

I see people getting fired everyday, and can’t help but ask myself, why would the employee let that happen? All I can come up with is that people are very lazy and aren’t willing to either get up and go to work, or do their job when they are at work. It is ridiculous to think about… especially since there are some people who have work ethic and who would love to have a job to feed their families, but jobs are taken up by slobs who don’t give a damn.

Another part of the issue is unemployment. I have seen people get laid off because of the economy and can only receive unemployment checks for maybe a month as they desperately pursue new jobs. Meanwhile, I have seen others who have been on unemployment checks for six or seven months who won’t even go to one interview!! It is awful to watch as people have their houses taken away because they can’t pay their bills while others purchase new cars and ipods with their unemployment money.

It is also very frustrating to work around co-workers who aren’t willing to work. Being called in on days off, cleaning up messes left behind, falling behind by doing work that should have been done, and even re-doing tasks because they weren’t done correctly are a few of the completely avoidable reasons why people who have no work ethic are hard to work with. It is not only frustrating for the co-workers, but for customers as well. I have seen an employee texting while customers piled up behind their register, and they didn’t seem to care at all. Some employees bring their personal life into work as well, even going to lengths of having an argument with their spouses on the company phone in front of customers. I believe people with no work ethic like this shouldn’t even be hired in the first place.

I think people need to start getting their heads in the game about work. It really isn’t something to take lightly, a job is a privledge to have. Some people don’t have them and can’t pay for life’s expenses and truly suffer. So, everyone who has a job, great!! Make sure you are doing everything you can at your job, not just the bare minimum. You may even get a raise

This morning I woke up to something common in my daily life, my iPhone had no service. Thinking that it wa just where I live, I got in my car and drove into work to find out that I still had no service. This is when the panic set in and all the worst possible things went through my mind.

“Did I pay my bill?” “Is my SIM card ok?” “Did my cat do something to it?!” were just some of the questions going through my mind. Then I started thinking about the good things like 3G (which we STILL don’t have here) being turned on. So I check Twitter and sure enough I wasn’t the only one. Half of VA was down and had been so since early in the morning.

Then my friend who also has AT&T and an iPhone came to work and told me her service was out and that she was freaking out. I told her about all the outage in the area, which isn’t being fixed for some reason at the moment. She asked if I could find out anything, so I tweeted at AT&T and they’re response was “Some customers are experiencing service outage due to the storms yesterday”. Some? SOME?! Try half of Western Virginia.

If you’re having a service outage, post about it the comment section below.

Edit: At 3:00 PM exactly, service was restored, nearly 12 hours later…

Hayley Williams, the respected christian lead singer of Paramore, may have recently experienced a tragic downfall in her career. After allegedly having her iPhone (or Blackberry 9000… there is some controversy here) stolen from her at a concert, a picture of her bare chest was sent to twitter via twitpic. Five minutes later, it was frantically taken down, and apologies were sent out from Hayley’s twitter. There are many discrepancies with this, from Hayley posting this picture on purpose for attention, to the picture being a mere edited gimmick of the media. Most seem to believe that this picture was taken by Hayley herself, and accidentally sent to twitter when it was supposed to be sent to her boyfriend.

Many online forums are standing up for Hayley, which is good to see. There are still true fans out there who are not willing to just jump on the band wagon of the situation. I’ve seen many comments trying to make the story clear, “Hayley lost her phone a few days ago. Someone found it, found the picture on it, and posted it to her Twitter (which was still signed in on her phone). She found it a few minutes later and took it down. I’m sure the picture was for Chad. That’s between them and shouldn’t have been put online. Cruel.” As well as some that even take offense, such as “You need to take this down. It’s pathetic and old, it obviously didn’t mean to happen and it’s not like nearly everyone takes cheeky pictures of themselves. When an icon does it, it gets blown out of proportion. youre making it worse for her posting this picture and she obviously didn’t want it there when she got hacked!! Have a bit of respect ! She lost her phone and obviously someone sent it whilst her phone was still signed into her twitter account and when retrieving the phone she deleted it. It’s just stupid people like that, that could ruin her career.” These people refuse to believe that Hayley is disrespecting her own body, and obviously want other people to stop doing so.

On the other hand, besides the male paparazzi enjoying the view, there are some other people who feel differently about Hayley’s situation. They seem to believe that Hayley is a

Regardless, I believe that pictures like this should be treated very carefully… make sure they are locked if your phone does get stolen so they cannot be sent, and double-check the address when you are sending it yourself. Once something is on the internet, it can never be taken down, so it is worth the few extra seconds of making such a picture secure.
