This morning I woke up to something common in my daily life, my iPhone had no service. Thinking that it wa just where I live, I got in my car and drove into work to find out that I still had no service. This is when the panic set in and all the worst possible things went through my mind.

“Did I pay my bill?” “Is my SIM card ok?” “Did my cat do something to it?!” were just some of the questions going through my mind. Then I started thinking about the good things like 3G (which we STILL don’t have here) being turned on. So I check Twitter and sure enough I wasn’t the only one. Half of VA was down and had been so since early in the morning.

Then my friend who also has AT&T and an iPhone came to work and told me her service was out and that she was freaking out. I told her about all the outage in the area, which isn’t being fixed for some reason at the moment. She asked if I could find out anything, so I tweeted at AT&T and they’re response was “Some customers are experiencing service outage due to the storms yesterday”. Some? SOME?! Try half of Western Virginia.
